The Church of Sweden, Vikingstad Parish, is looking for an Administrator

Are you skilled at organizing, coordinating, and collaborating? Do you enjoy working with a variety of tasks? We are looking for a new colleague to join the parish office in Vikingstad Parish. Here, you will have a key role and serve as one of our outward-facing representatives and a vital internal support.

You will be primarily responsible for the daily operations and routines of the parish office, including archives and diary management, booking of premises and church documents, communication (including social media), and administrative work related to both the cemetery administration and the parish's activities. You will join a team of 13 dedicated colleagues who are building the future of the parish in Vikingstad.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has previous experience in administration and service.
  • has strong knowledge and experience with digital working methods.
  • has excellent command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
  • thrives in being the face of the parish.
  • can work independently and with commitment, and wishes to work within the Church of Sweden.

Your qualities

  • You are a team player with strong prioritization skills, as the role involves handling multiple tasks simultaneously. You must be able to structure your work and maintain order.
  • To thrive in the parish, you have a strong commitment, are unpretentious, outgoing, and enjoy providing support.
  • You are flexible and appreciate varied tasks.
  • As a person, you manage time effectively, work systematically and methodically to complete tasks, and follow up on results.
  • You are balanced, positive, and attentive in your interactions, as you will meet people at various stages of life, both in person and over the phone.

Qualifications that are an advantage

It is an advantage if you have:

  • experience in similar roles within the Church of Sweden and/or in trust-based organizations, state, or municipal administration.
  • experience working with archives and diaries.
  • knowledge of how GDPR affects administrative work in an organization.
  • experience in communications and information management.
  • experience with the systems Agrandos, Telia Touchpoint+, Microsoft 365, and social media.

The extent of employment (percentage) can be discussed if desired.

Start date: As soon as possible, subject to agreement. We conduct ongoing interviews and may complete the hiring process before the application deadline.
