Career Consultant for Jobcenter in Norrköping

Jobcenter in Norrköping is now looking for an engaged and results-oriented Career Consultant who wants to make a difference for job seekers and contribute to more people finding their way to work or studies.

We are looking for you who are passionate about coaching, motivating, and creating opportunities for people to reach their goals. You have good knowledge of the labor market in Östergötland, are relationship-building, and thrive in a role where you combine guidance, matching, and employer contacts.

About the Position

As a Career Consultant, you work with supporting job seekers within the Swedish Public Employment Service's service Rusta och Matcha (Prepare and Match). Through individual coaching and guidance, you help participants approach the labor market or start studies.

Your main tasks include:

• Conducting individual guidance and coaching sessions
• Creating and following up on action plans
• Matching participants with jobs and education
• Creating and developing contacts with employers
• Documenting efforts and results according to current requirements
• Motivating and supporting participants through change processes

The work places high demands on structure, documentation, and the ability to work towards set goals and results.

It is an advantage if you have previously worked with any of the Swedish Public Employment Service's matching services. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Qualifications

Option 1

Education: University education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits according to the previous system).

Work Experience: At least two (2) years of full-time work experience. Part-time work may also be accepted if the total working time corresponds to full-time over two (2) years.

Option 2

Education: At least one (1) year of full-time studies at the post-secondary level with at least a passing grade. Post-secondary education includes university education and various types of vocational training, such as qualified vocational training, university college education, military education, and police education.

Work Experience: At least three (3) years of full-time work experience in one or more of the following professions or tasks:

• Work leadership with personnel responsibility
• Recruitment
• Transition work for job seekers
• Study and career guidance
• Handling of personnel matters (not just personnel administration)
• Work with labor market and employment issues
• Work with social and group psychology
• Career guidance

Part-time work may also be accepted if the total working time corresponds to full-time over three (3) years.
