Fristadsskolan is a secondary school located in the center of Eskilstuna, with approximately 470 students and 60 employees. The school has been newly renovated, and we have fresh, modern facilities. At our school, teaching quality is in focus. Our skilled full-time mentors work with student social issues and contribute to our work on safety and study environment. Our structures for collegial collaboration are well-established with scheduled subject time every week, and there is a culture at the school of doing things together and helping each other. This autumn, we will remove our local agreement and return to working 35+10.

Job Description

As a music teacher, you teach your subject, music. You plan, implement, and follow up on your teaching according to the curriculum Lgr22. You create inspiring learning environments where students can explore and develop their knowledge within the subject. You follow the individual development and learning of the students. At our school, it is important that every student receives support, encouragement, and conditions to develop in an enjoyable, challenging, yet learning environment. You will become part of a work team with professional and dedicated educators.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a teacher degree and teacher certification with eligibility to teach music, grades 7-9. Alternatively, you have ongoing studies that will be completed shortly. It is meritorious if you have previous experience of teaching in pedagogical activities, from work or practicum (VFU). We also view positively if you have experience of teaching according to the current curriculum. The position requires that you have very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, as well as that you feel comfortable using IT as part of your teaching.

You are a dedicated employee who has good cooperation skills. You can build trust and listen to different needs, and have an easy time communicating with both teenagers and adults.
