We are responsible for 31 preschools, 17 primary schools, adapted primary schools, Nyköping Upper Secondary School, adapted upper secondary schools, and adult education at Campus Nyköping. Nyköping is growing, and our school organization is developing in tandem with the municipality. We are now looking for a substitute primary school teacher (Grades F-3) for Svalsta School.

Our Organization

The F-9 operations cover 17 primary schools and adapted schools, distributed across seven principal areas. Each area has a principal, deputy principals, and a student health team. With schools both in urban areas and in the countryside, we work to increase equity, integration, and high quality in municipal schools.

In recent years, we have developed our systematic quality work and a common language-developing approach. Each school has scheduled time for conferences, development work, and collaboration.

About the Principal Area

The Kiladalen school area has approximately 450 students in grades F–6 and includes the school buildings in Svalsta, Bergshammar, Jönåker, and Ålberga. In total, around 80 people work within the area. The schools are located along the old E4 highway outside Nyköping, with schoolyards close to nature.

Job Description

One of our preschool class teachers will be on parental leave during the autumn term of 2026. We are therefore looking for an F-3 teacher for a substitute position in our upcoming preschool class at Svalsta School, an F-6 school with an associated after-school center. The school has approximately 245 students, and our staff consists of about 35 people. We are a parallel school, where each grade level has two or three mentors who work closely together and are responsible for teaching and mentoring.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for primary school teachers with a license issued by the Swedish National Agency for Education, but other pedagogical experience may also be of interest. You have clear pedagogical insight and the ability to translate the goals of the curriculum into your work. You have clear leadership and stand strong in your student groups. You are flexible, structured, and well-prepared. You are a secure and well-founded pedagogue who challenges and stimulates students to develop.

A strong belief in collaboration as a success factor for pedagogical development is a given for you. You have direct and humble communication with guardians and create trusting relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians alike. We consider it particularly meritorious to have good references regarding good classroom leadership as well as experience and competence related to early reading and writing acquisition and/or mathematics.

Terms of Employment

• Salary: Monthly salary.
