We are constantly developing our working methods, both within our own subjects and across subject boundaries. Every teacher also works with mentorship for a group of students.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a new Special Needs Teacher/Special Educator with a focus on mathematics for Slottsskolan 7-9.

In this role, you will teach students and supervise staff, as well as work with organizing support for pedagogical mapping, investigations, and action plans. Your assignment includes planning, implementing, and evaluating your teaching. Your goal is to support and help students develop in the subject as much as they can. You will work promotively and preventively regarding didactic and pedagogical issues, primarily within mathematics, together with students and colleagues. You will also inspire students in the subject and help them understand how the theoretical parts connect with the practical. As a teacher with us, you will have the opportunity to develop your teaching by working idea-driven and student-centered. You will also work to support and strengthen the knowledge of the school's educators regarding extra adaptations and special support. This is to support students early on and prevent the need for support from arising.

As a Special Needs Teacher/Special Educator at Slottsskolan 7-9, you are part of the school's student health team and will work together with the school's other special needs teachers, special educators, teachers, and principal.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are educated as a Special Needs Teacher/Special Educator with competence in mathematics or/and a mathematics teacher with special needs teacher competence, alternatively a special educator, and who have the qualification to teach mathematics in grades 7-9.

We see that you, as an applicant, have experience working as a Special Needs Teacher/Special Educator, and it is meritorious if you have experience working with students with NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders).

You have a positive attitude and find it easy to engage your students. It is important to you to work student-centered and see each student's opportunity for development. You have good leadership skills, are pedagogical, and understand people's different prerequisites for absorbing knowledge. As a person, you are calm and collected in different situations and have the ability to focus on the right things, as well as being good at structuring, planning, and prioritizing your work. As a colleague, you have the ability to collaborate and see opportunities in various cross-subject collaborations. As a Special Needs Teacher, you want to work idea-driven and contribute to the development of our school. You take your pedagogical assignment seriously and are well-versed in the Swedish National Agency for Education's steering documents and value base.

You need to have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. We would appreciate it if you have IT skills regarding knowledge assessment and result follow-up.

For work with young people, an extract from the criminal record is required. The position is available subject to necessary decisions being made.

Due to the holiday season, we are not available between week 28 and week 31.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Start date: 2026-08-03.
Working hours: Daytime.
