We are now looking for a qualified lower secondary school teacher (grades 4-6) for Stenhammarskolan.

HERE ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Stenhammarskolan – a school for grades F-9 where the heart beats for the students, with knowledge and development in focus – has approximately 650 students and is centrally located in Flen. Here we see differences as a strength and diversity as an asset for both students and staff. Our school should be a safe, inclusive, and inspiring place where everyone has the opportunity to develop, both academically and socially.

As a lower secondary school teacher at Stenhammarskolan, you will teach several subjects, with a special focus on mathematics and Swedish as a second language. You will plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching to create a cohesive learning environment for the students.

Your digital competence is good, and you use technical aids as a natural part of teaching to make lessons more engaging and accessible. You are self-reliant and structured in your work, but you also see collaboration as a given. By actively working to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment, you contribute to ensuring that all students feel seen and motivated to learn.

With a relationship-building approach, you collaborate with students, colleagues, and guardians to promote the students' knowledge development. You are part of a professional team where collaboration and collegial learning are in focus. You actively contribute to the school's systematic quality work, participate in meetings and training, and work together with your colleagues to constantly develop teaching. Through your commitment and solution-oriented attitude, you help create a school where both students and staff thrive and develop.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:

• Teacher certification with eligibility in Math, Science, Swedish as a Second Language (SVA), Swedish, Social Studies, and English (Math & SVA prioritized) for grades 4-6.
• Ability to plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching according to the Swedish National Curriculum (Lgr22) with clear goals and assessment.
• Ability to use digital tools in teaching.
• Good knowledge of regulatory documents, grading, and assessment.

WE VALUE THE FOLLOWING HIGHLY:

• Experience in working with language-developing methods in all subjects, especially in mathematics and SVA.

About the position:

• Scope: Full-time, permanent (probation may apply).
• Start date: As agreed.
• Salary: Individual salary setting.
