About the School

Practical Gymnasium in Nyköping offers students a concept where theory is interspersed with practical exercises both inside the school and at workplaces. At Practical, we hold ourselves to high standards to create the best conditions for a educational and fun education. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings consist of BF, VF, IN, and the introductory program. Currently, the school has approximately 220 students and about 28 employees.

Our premises will be partly completely new this autumn as we expand by 900 sqm and are located a 5-minute walk from the bus terminal in Nyköping's city center.

Your Role

The position is a fixed-term employment equivalent to 100% starting as agreed. You will teach and supervise our students in Swedish and English and, together with other colleagues, you will be part of a work team. We see you as an important and driving force to develop both the program and the subject, with the students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to subject-specific tasks, you, like other teachers at the school, have duties such as mentor, and together you and your colleagues coach the students both socially and academically throughout their three years at Practical Gymnasium. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft, and we work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans. This applies equally to communication with students and colleagues.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a certified upper secondary school teacher in English and Swedish. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, and that you identify with our values and keywords. Our students long to enter the working life, and your biggest task is to guide them there!
