Adult Education (Komvux) in Katrineholm Municipality plays an active role in promoting local and regional competence supply by offering flexible and individually adapted education based on the labour market and the needs of the residents. Komvux offers, among other things, Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), basic and upper secondary education, adapted education for adults, vocational training, and societal orientation for certain newly arrived individuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching based on current regulatory documents. You adapt the teaching to the students' needs, prerequisites, and goals, and you document and assess their knowledge development. The teaching is characterized by a clarifying pedagogical approach where you use learning tools in a purposeful and creative manner. Digital tools such as computers and iPads are a natural part of the teaching and are used to support the students' learning and development.

You collaborate closely with colleagues in the work team regarding planning, development, and quality work within the operations. The work also involves participating in joint processes regarding admissions and scheduling, as well as actively contributing to collegial learning and pedagogical development. The position also includes collaborating with the students' networks, such as support persons, employers, and other external actors. You work to create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment where students' independence, participation, development, and everyday contexts are promoted.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a Special Education Teacher degree with a specialization in intellectual disabilities. A Teacher degree with a license in language is a requirement for the position. It is meritorious if you have documented experience working with this target group and possess high digital competence. Furthermore, it is meritorious if you have experience from adult education and are skilled in using alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) in daily teaching. It is desirable that you have experience in following up and evaluating teaching and adaptations.
