About Skogsängsskolan

Skogsängsskolan is a newly built F-6 school with excellent facilities and a fantastic schoolyard. We have grown over the last few years and currently have approximately 460 students in a three-parallel organization. Here, we work together with a focus on collegial learning. We work proactively to create safety and good conditions for student learning in our multicultural school unit. We use differentiated and language-developing approaches to achieve higher goal fulfillment.

The school has a comprehensive student health team including a counselor, school nurse, social pedagogue, special needs teacher, and special educator. We also have access to a school psychologist and school doctor from the central student health services. To create safety and study peace, we place great emphasis on norms, values, and good relationships. An important part of this work is our organized and well-functioning recess activity. As an employee here, you will become part of a close collegial collaboration and share an office with your colleagues.

Responsibilities

At our school, you will teach home economics and consumer studies for our three classes in grade 6. The teaching is scheduled for two full days a week and covers approximately 30 percent, including planning time, room maintenance, and purchasing. The remaining 10 percent consists of other tasks based on the organization's needs and your competence. Together with your colleagues, you will create a safe and developmental learning environment where students have the opportunity to grow. There may be an opportunity to increase your hours by substituting on other days of the week if needed. Mentorship in an intermediate school class may also be included.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teacher's degree and teacher certification with eligibility to teach in home economics and consumer studies. You may also be at the end of your education and finish shortly. It is meritorious if you have experience teaching in schools and are accustomed to working according to the current curriculum.
