On the gastrointestinal department, we enjoy our work! We are a gastroenterological unit treating patients in need of highly specialized medical care within gastroenterology. The patients have varying degrees of care needs, which creates varied tasks and great opportunities for personal development. We know our patients well and strive to provide the best possible care and ensure that all our patients are comfortable.

We are a family-like unit with closeness between professional groups as well as an open and positive work climate. Here, everyone is welcome as they are, and no question is considered stupid. We have a learning climate where we support our colleagues and work in interdisciplinary teams consisting of a nurse, nursing assistant, doctor, medical secretary, and rehabilitation staff.

The department has a counselor who is a great support to the care team and the patients, as well as four specialist nurses, two of whom are nursing leaders who provide support to other staff in complex care situations and are responsible for improvement and quality development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We now have the opportunity to welcome a new, engaged colleague to a temporary night shift position!

As a nursing assistant with us, you are offered varied work with high job satisfaction. You work with patient care and operational development, which happens by having the opportunity to work on projects by joining different project groups that drive the work forward. In consultation with the interdisciplinary team, you also plan, perform, develop, and evaluate care measures and the patient's health status. Performed measures and health status are documented in the medical record system Melior.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant and meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected job title, regardless of whether you studied under the previous or current program structure. You also have knowledge and/or experience in emergency care/healthcare. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are required. For us, it is an advantage if you have several years of experience working as a nursing assistant and working in Melior. Additionally, it is an advantage if you have been part of the development of operations and patient safety work.

Regarding your personality, we see that you are positive with a strong sense of responsibility and precision in your professional role, as well as a good attitude towards both patients and colleagues. You communicate and collaborate easily and have an interest in both your own and the department's development within the work area. Furthermore, you have the patient in focus and always work for the benefit of the operation. To thrive in this position, you should enjoy working in a team, but you also have the ability to make decisions independently and prioritize between tasks.
