About the Unit and Operations

The Medicines Unit is a newly formed unit within the Administration for Psychiatry, Habilitation and Assistive Devices, consisting of 3 clinical pharmacists and 12 ward/supply pharmacists. The ward/supply pharmacists are located within our respective operational areas. We are now looking for a supply pharmacist to be based in the operational area (VO) Helsingborg Landskrona Ängelholm.

VO Adult Psychiatry has outpatient care in Ängelholm, Helsingborg, and Landskrona, as well as inpatient care in Helsingborg. Our catchment area comprises the ten municipalities in northwestern Scania, with which we have a good collaboration through cooperation meetings and care planning. Team collaboration, where different competencies and experiences enrich and complement each other, is fundamental to our way of working. Our operations are characterized by collaboration, openness, and high competence. The operation has approximately 470 employees.

Responsibilities

In the role of supply pharmacist, your tasks will be varied. You will work with medication management on care wards within inpatient care and at clinics, as well as with administration-wide medication work. Additionally, you will support the operations with other supporting services related to medication management, such as assortment control, knowledge support regarding medications, and work with tail inventories and shared stocks. There is also ongoing work with installing and commissioning medication dispensing machines, where you will play an important role.

In your work, you primarily relieve and support the nurses regarding medication management. You work in close collaboration with medication-responsible nurses and unit managers, where you together develop and improve medication work. Furthermore, you are an important member of the team of pharmacists who together work with quality and safety within the Medicines Unit.

The work is primarily performed with a local placement in the healthcare operations, but travel for work purposes occurs. You always have the possibility of support from the pharmaceutical team regardless of where you are located.

We continuously develop our services related to In-house Medicines Support according to the needs of care. Currently, the pharmaceutical operations are in a dynamic and developmental period, where you as a supply pharmacist have a good opportunity to influence the way of working and participate in various projects and assignments. We also offer good opportunities for competence development. To ensure that you, as a new employee, thrive and get into the work, we offer an introduction adapted to you and your experience. During the introduction, you will meet all professional categories within our VO and follow experienced pharmacists working on care wards. We also utilize the help of the chief pharmacist in the administration to ensure you feel secure in your role.

Qualifications and Merits

We welcome you who are a licensed dispensing pharmacist or licensed pharmacist with permission to work within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. We would like you to have experience of working in a pharmacy. Additionally, it is meritorious if you have experience of working in a hospital pharmacy, providing medication services to wards and clinics, and experience of working within health and social care.

Furthermore, you are responsible, flexible, and have an easy time collaborating. The work requires great commitment and personal responsibility, and that you are stimulated by multidisciplinary working methods. Improvement work is ongoing to increase medication safety, which requires curiosity and an interest in development work and quality issues. Personal suitability is given great weight.
