At the Infectious Disease Department, we are a team consisting of various professions that support each other. Here, you will gain a thorough and broad knowledge base with natural intersections with other specialties such as medicine, surgery, and orthopedics. We have a total of 14 care beds for patients with severe conditions, where diagnoses cover a wide variety of infectious diseases. On the department, we work in cross-professional teams to provide our patients with the best possible care.

We actively work on improving patient safety and mitigating patient safety risks, as well as improving the working environment on the department. A key part of this is structured competence development through, for example, mandatory training days every month.

Job Description

At our Infectious Disease Department, you are offered a varied and exciting job where you have the opportunity to develop broad competence in medical nursing as well as within our specialty. Here you will find stimulating and rewarding tasks, whether you are newly graduated and want to build a broad foundation, or if you have several years of experience and wish to deepen your expertise.

In the role of a nurse, you work in a team together with nursing assistants and doctors. During daytime hours, you always have a responsible physician and a pharmacist available. We work extensively with intravenous medication treatment and use medical technical equipment such as Optiflow and monitoring devices. Some of our patients carry resistant bacteria or are treated for contagious diseases, which requires isolation, but regardless of the patient's diagnosis, we follow basic hygiene routines.

For new employees, we offer an individually tailored introduction program based on your previous experience. With support and follow-up from our nursing managers, we ensure that you get the knowledge you need to succeed in your role.

Qualifications

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. We would like you to have an interest in developing care and to share your experience and positive joy with both the team and the patients on our department.

We see that you thrive in team environments and have good collaboration and communication skills, while also being able to take initiative and work independently. As a person, you are positive, responsible, and flexible. You adapt easily to changing circumstances and have the ability to handle and prioritize when the pace is high. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
