At Förvarshälsan Skåne, we are now looking for a new colleague who wants to help develop a unique operation within "Nära vård och hälsa" (Close Care and Health). Förvarshälsan Skåne provides primary healthcare for individuals staying at the Migration Agency's detention centers in Åstorp and Ljungbyhed. Since March 2026, we have been a grant-funded unit within the new administration "Nära vård och hälsa" and are organizationally part of Flyktinghälsan, where we receive both medical and administrative support.

Currently, the operation consists of two nurses, and we are now expanding the team with one additional colleague. The main placement is at the detention center in Åstorp, but duties may also take place in Ljungbyhed or within other operations in Close Care and Health as needed. We are in an exciting development phase where we are building a stable, secure, and sustainable operation focused on good and close care together.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse/registered nurse with us, you will have a varied and meaningful assignment where standard reception work is combined with a close and team-based approach. You will work with assessment, counseling, nursing care, and follow-up of patients, as well as collaborate with other professions and external actors to ensure good care.

The position offers a unique opportunity to combine primary care work with the special conditions that follow healthcare in detention. The work is largely independent, which requires personal responsibility and good clinical assessment skills, while support from colleagues and doctors is available daily.

As part of a smaller operation, we help and support each other during absences and periods of high workload. You will have the opportunity to participate in development and improvement work and contribute to shaping the future working methods and routines of the operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse or district nurse with eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement.

It is meritorious if you have experience working in primary care, reception operations, or other independent clinical operations. Experience working with people from different cultures and backgrounds, as well as knowledge of additional languages, is also meritorious.
