Short-term care in Sjöbo Municipality provides care, support, and rehabilitation for elderly individuals who need extra support for a limited period after, for example, a hospital stay, illness, or a changed life situation. Responsibilities

As a care assistant at our short-term unit within elderly care, you work to create security, participation, and good quality of life for our customers during their stay with us. You are part of an engaged team where you together provide individualized care and support based on each person's needs, abilities, and wishes.

In this role, you are responsible for performing nursing interventions, supporting customers in their daily activities, and contributing to promoting health, well-being, and rehabilitation. The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, relatives, and other professions to ensure safe and quality care.

You document according to current legislation and guidelines and work based on individual implementation plans. As a care assistant at the short-term unit, you also actively contribute to the development of the operation through a professional approach, good communication, and a person-centered way of working where the customer's needs are always in focus.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a care assistant with a protected title and have experience working in care and support. You have a good attitude, the ability to create trusting relationships, and enjoy working both independently and in a team.

It is meritorious if you have specialized training for care assistants, for example, within elderly care, dementia, rehabilitation, palliative care, or other relevant directions. We also view experience from short-term care or similar operations positively.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Terms of Employment

• Salary: Monthly salary.
• Employment type: Permanent position.
• Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-09-01 or as agreed.
• Working hours: Roster.
