Kristianstad Central Hospital (CSK) is the emergency hospital for northeastern Scania. Here, emergency care is provided around the clock by qualified and dedicated employees. CSK has the resources of a large hospital and the proximity and camaraderie of a smaller hospital. We have approximately 2,600 employees.

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), with its approximately 65 employees, provides comprehensive specialist care in the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of diseases and disabilities in the ear, nose, and throat area, as well as emergency services. The department has a well-developed medical practice within most of the different directions of the ENT specialty and is supported by its own audiologists and speech therapists. For certain ENT diagnostic areas, CSK has a regional assignment, such as pediatric sleep apnea investigations.

WORK TASKS

Are you a nurse looking for a varied and developing job? With us, you will be an important part of a dedicated team, meet patients of all ages, and experience the variation and dynamism that make the work so rewarding, where no day is like the other!

As a nurse at the ENT clinic, you are offered stimulating and varied work in a specialized practice. You work closely with the doctors and assist at scheduled clinics, emergency services, and in connection with outpatient surgeries. The role gives you the opportunity to develop your competence in ear care and be an important part of a dedicated and cross-professional team.

At the clinic, nurses and assistant nurses also have their own clinics. We have, among other things, a Sleep Team, a Track-team, and contact nurses for our cancer patients. In the basic staffing, both assistant nurses and nurses staff the washroom as needed; the nurses also staff the runner position that serves the clinics and answers 1177 inquiries. We also have telephone advice, but this is staffed only after you have become more accustomed to your role as a nurse at the clinic.

With us, you will meet patients of all ages, from the youngest to the oldest in society. The work is varied and filled with new meetings and experiences, which makes the ENT practice both exciting and rewarding. Despite its seemingly small area, the ENT department is a large and broad field, which means there are good development opportunities. The ENT clinic is a clinic in development as a generational change among the doctors is now in its final stage, resulting in new exciting forms of clinics.

Working hours are during the day, Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:00. Every eighth week includes working two evenings with our pediatric sleep apnea investigations. These shifts are currently covered, but changes may occur, and then it is part of our assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this role, we are looking for you who want to contribute with your competence as a licensed nurse with the right to work in Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. If you have experience working in ear, nose, and throat practice, other clinic work, and/or emergency care, it is meritorious. Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have knowledge of the systems Melior and Pasis.
