The Adult Psychiatry Area (VO) in Kristianstad provides outpatient care in Hässleholm, Kristianstad, Simrishamn, and Ystad. The emergency clinic and all inpatient care are located in Kristianstad. For residents of Ystad, Skurup, and Sjöbo, inpatient care and emergency services are offered in Malmö and Lund. Our catchment area covers the northern and southeastern municipalities of Scania, with a total population of approximately 300,000 people. We collaborate closely with the municipalities through joint meetings and care planning. Despite our wide geographical spread, our operations are characterized by proximity and short decision-making paths.

The Adult Psychiatry Clinic in Ystad is a well-functioning, fully staffed, and stable unit where we value both our colleagues and our patients. We assess and treat patients with affective disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety conditions, depression, as well as various personality syndromes and neuropsychiatric conditions. We provide stepwise, individually adapted treatment both in groups and individually to meet patient needs. Here, you will meet approximately 50 colleagues who are genuinely interested in providing the best possible care for our patients. We work in cross-professional specialist teams to collectively address patient needs. The team consists of doctors, psychologists, nurses, care assistants/therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation coordinators, medical secretaries, and social workers.

Our clinic is constantly developing and is implementing standardized care processes and a person-centered care approach.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a psychiatrist specialist for our NDD team!

As a doctor, you will be part of a cross-professional team focused on managing the challenges that NDD (neurodevelopmental disorder) can present in daily life. The team works psychoeducationally, occupationally, medically, psychotherapeutically, and psychosocially, with collaboration being a significant part of the treatment interventions. The clinic also has an ADHD dispensary. Responsibilities include, among other things, assessing and treating patients with NDD issues and mental comorbidity, as well as other tasks based on the unit's needs. The team has a well-established structure and clear professional roles, where each profession supports our patients and their relatives both individually and together.

Today we work according to standardized care processes, but the unit is undergoing continuous improvement work in various areas, giving you great opportunities for development in your professional role.

Your working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with authorization to work within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have specialist competence in psychiatry. Proficiency in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is a requirement. Experience working in psychiatric outpatient care is considered meritorious. Knowledge of the systems Melior, VÅPS, and/or TIK is also considered meritorious.

Working at the clinic requires that you can maintain your calm in stressful situations and work methodically. During intensive periods, your work requires that you can reprioritize and adapt to changed circumstances and planning. You have good collaboration and communication skills and value the social work environment. Furthermore, you enjoy working on and developing the unit together with your colleagues. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and a good ethical approach.
