We are now looking for engaged and driven assistant nurses who want to make a difference for our elderly and at the same time be part of a developing operation. Österbo is located in the heart of Perstorp and is a residence with 54 places for our elderly citizens who can no longer live in their ordinary housing. Of the 54 places, 4 are short-term/rotating care places. Our residents are elderly with varying care needs due to declining cognition/dementia/mental ill-health and somatic diseases.

Job Responsibilities

As an assistant nurse with us, you work closely with our users and contribute to creating high quality of life through professional and respectful treatment.

You will among other things:

• Provide care and support to elderly people based on individual needs.
• Work with people who have dementia, cognitive impairment, mental ill-health, and complex disease conditions.
• Contribute to creating an active and meaningful everyday life for each individual user.
• Work person-centered with a focus on participation, self-determination, and security.
• Collaborate with colleagues, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and relatives.
• Actively contribute to the development and change work of the operation.

We are looking for you who

• Are trained as an assistant nurse with a protected title.
• Have at least 2–3 years of experience working in elderly care.
• Have experience working with dementia, cognitive impairment, multi-sick elderly, and/or psychiatry.
• Have a good ability to work person-centered.
• Are structured, responsible, and solution-oriented.
• Enjoy collaborating and see yourself as a team player.
• Are flexible and dare to think outside the box when the situation requires it.
• See change as an opportunity and want to be part of developing the operation.

You must have good knowledge of Swedish and be able to communicate freely in speech and writing.

We will request extracts from the police's criminal record register before any employment.

Merits

We consider it particularly meritorious if you have specialized training for assistant nurses within:

• Dementia
• Palliative care
• Psychiatry

It is also meritorious if you have:

• Supervisor training
• Experience in improvement and development work
• Experience in self-managing or team-based work methods
