Within the Child and Education Administration, our approximately 3,000 employees meet around 14,000 children and students at more than 100 preschools and schools across the municipality every day. Every child and student in Sundsvall Municipality's preschools and schools should be able to develop, learn, and reach their goals based on their own prerequisites. Every student should be able to leave school with the will, knowledge, and good conditions to meet adult life and the future.

Your new workplace

We are looking for substitute teachers with qualifications in mathematics and preferably another subject for the Introduction Programme (IM). Sundsvall Gymnasium/Västermalm is an attractive and centrally located school; currently, over 1,200 students have chosen to complete their upper secondary education with us! Here, the student is at the center, we dare to try new things, and we develop together! We have functional premises, our own school library, and great opportunities. Now we are looking for an engaged teacher to join our team. Are you the one we are looking for?

How you contribute in the role of substitute teacher

You will teach on the Introduction Programmes IMA/IMS. The position includes mentorship and responsibility for tasks within the program working group and subject group. You focus on students' goal achievement in close collaboration with school leadership and colleagues. You actively participate in the school's joint systematic quality work and training. We have a well-developed collaboration between the school's different professions, which gives you good support in various parts of the work.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in mathematics and preferably in combination with another subject for grades 9/upper secondary school. We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs. You are a good leader both inside and outside the classroom and have experience working with students who need support and adjustments to complete their education.

You also need to be:

• Flexible: You have the students' best interests at heart, and your approach is characterized by seeing opportunities in change. You adapt easily to changed circumstances. You are skilled at motivating others.
• Communicative and clear: You communicate clearly, ensuring that messages get through and that expectations are clear for all involved parties. You remind and follow up.
• Collaborative: You work in a conflict-free manner by listening, communicating, and resolving conflicts constructively. You can relate to others in an attentive and smooth way.
• Structured and quality-conscious: You are active in systematic quality work and can plan, implement, and follow up on your teaching, as well as analyze course and program goals.

You enjoy taking responsibility and see the mentor role as an important part of your work. You easily build trust and feel comfortable having contact with parents. You value close collaboration with colleagues and are receptive to others' knowledge. You participate in collegial learning and have an interest in developing the school, even outside of teaching. Merit if you have experience working on the Introduction Programme.

Good to know

Salary: Monthly/hourly wage. Individual and differentiated salary setting applies.

Terms: Salary payments beyond the monthly wage follow the applicable collective agreement. Central collective agreements can be found on the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions' website, www.skr.se
