On the gastrointestinal department, we have fun at work! We are a gastroenterological department that treats patients in need of highly specialized medical care within gastroenterology. The patients have varying degrees of care needs, which creates varied tasks and great opportunities for personal development. We know our patients well and strive to provide the best possible care and ensure that all our patients are comfortable.

We are a family-oriented unit with closeness between professional groups and an open and positive work climate. At our workplace, everyone is welcome as they are, and no question is considered stupid. We have a learning climate where we support our colleagues and work in interdisciplinary teams consisting of a nurse, nursing assistant, doctor, medical secretary, and rehabilitation staff.

On the department, there is a counselor who is a great support to the care team and the patients, as well as four specialist nurses, two of whom are nursing leaders who provide support to other staff in complex care situations and are responsible for improvement and quality development.

TASKS

We now have the opportunity to welcome a new, engaged colleague on a fixed-term contract!

As a nursing assistant with us, you are offered a varied job with high job satisfaction. You work with patient care and operational development, which happens by giving you the opportunity to work on projects by joining different project groups that drive the work forward. In consultation with the interdisciplinary team, you also plan, perform, develop, and evaluate care measures and the patient's health status. Performed measures and health status are documented in the medical record system Melior.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant and meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected job title, regardless of whether you studied according to the previous or current program structure. You also have knowledge and/or experience within emergency care/healthcare. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are required. For us, it is an advantage if you have several years of experience working as a nursing assistant and experience working in Melior. Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have been part of the development of operations and patient safety work.

When it comes to you as a person, we see that you are positive with a strong sense of responsibility and precision in your professional role, as well as having a good attitude towards both patients and colleagues. You communicate and collaborate easily and have an interest in both your own and the department's development within the work area. Furthermore, you have the patient in focus and always work for the best of the operation. To thrive in this position, you should enjoy working in a team, but you also have the ability to make decisions independently and prioritize between tasks.
