The Education Department is responsible for preschool, primary school, after-school centers, upper secondary school, adult education, as well as child and student health services. Approximately 1,100 employees work here, together creating a secure and developmental school and childcare environment.

Västerport School is a grades 1-9 school with approximately 620 students and 85 staff members. At Västerport School, students meet modern, meaningful, and accessible teaching where the vision Every day we create meaning permeates the organization. The vision branches into two different focus areas: relational teacher leadership and language development, which influence the development work. Västerport School has received the Apple Distinguished School award.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher at Västerport School, you are part of a work team where you, together with colleagues, work to give our students the best conditions for achieving good goals. Teaching takes place in the subjects of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in grades 7-9.

You plan and conduct teaching in an engaged and goal-oriented manner, and follow up, assess, and document students' knowledge development. Mentorship and pedagogical lunch are included in the role.

Västerport School uses digital tools in daily work, which requires good IT skills and familiarity with using digital tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher (grades 7-9) in Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Technology. If you are a certified primary school teacher in Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Technology for lower secondary school and are interested in studying for qualification for upper secondary school, you are also welcome to apply.

You are a secure and clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create a learning environment where every student can develop optimally. As a teacher with us, you conduct work that puts the student's learning at the center.

You are an engaged teacher who can inspire and motivate students in their knowledge development. You have positive expectations of students and have the ability to communicate these in a motivating spirit. You start from the students' perspective when you, together with other staff and management, organize, drive, and develop the school's work.

You have an easy time collaborating and you have good communication skills - your students know what they can do, where they are going, and how to get there.

Salary: Monthly salary.
