Within the Child and Education Administration, our approximately 3,000 employees meet with around 14,000 children and students at more than 100 preschools and schools across the municipality every day. Every child and student in Sundsvall's preschools and schools should be able to develop, learn, and reach their goals according to their own prerequisites. Every student should leave school with the desire, knowledge, and good conditions to meet adult life and the future.

Your new workplace

We are looking for a Vocational Teacher for the Sales and Service program at Hedbergska. Hedbergska is centrally located in Sundsvall and offers both university-preparatory programs and vocational programs. We have nearly 1,200 students and work in program teams focused on each student.

How you contribute in the role of vocational teacher

Teaching in various vocational subjects on the Sales and Service program. Shared mentorship for a group of students on the program, which includes responsibility for following and supporting the students' social and academic development. Collaborate with school leadership, other teachers, other staff, and external contacts. Contact with the business community is particularly important for the development of the education and for the students' work-based learning (APL).

Your skills and experience

Required education: Vocational teacher degree or other post-secondary education in a relevant field.

Experience: Practical experience working in the sales and service industry.

Competence: Basic and current competence in digital commerce and communication.

Merits: Experience in entrepreneurship or entrepreneurial activities, as well as work with marketing and brand development. Experience in digital marketing and communication through, for example, social media, content production, or campaign work. Experience in sales, service, and customer meetings in a retail environment or other commercial activity. Ability to link practical experience from the business community to teaching in sales, communication, and entrepreneurship. Previous experience in pedagogical work, teaching.

Salary: Individual and differentiated salary setting is applied.

Terms: Salary supplements beyond the monthly salary follow the applicable collective agreement. Central collective agreements can be found on the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions' website, www.skr.se
