The Traffic Business Area is responsible for monitoring and managing road and rail traffic. As a Staffing Planner, you play a crucial role in ensuring the right skills are in the right place at the right time – so that Sweden keeps moving.
ResponsibilitiesWould you like to become our new colleague?
Our department creates the prerequisites for operational activities within the Traffic Business Area, Trafikverket's largest business area. We support managers in planning and staffing operational personnel, contributing to efficient operations 24/7, 365 days a year.
During the year, we have carried out several development initiatives focused on strengthened teamwork and more uniform working methods to increase our efficiency. This development journey continues – and we hope you want to be part of it.
As a Staffing Planner, you work both strategically and operationally. You plan long-term based on factors such as holiday periods, training, and periodic health checks, while also handling short-term changes such as sick leave and other staffing challenges.
In this role, you are responsible, among other things, for ensuring that work time scheduling complies with applicable laws, collective agreements, and local arrangements. You deal with issues such as daily rest, weekly rest, and leave. The role involves many contact points and close collaboration with both managers and employees.
We are a national department that plans and staffs operations from north to south. Together, we ensure that the right skills are in the right place at the right time. To succeed in the role, you need experience in staffing planning as well as basic knowledge of labor law and contract matters. Here, you will become part of an engaged team with great expertise in staffing, contract interpretation, and planning. Together, we find solutions even in complex situations.
QualificationsSince you will be working in a team, you need to be social and communicative combined with very good collaboration skills. The work takes place in close cooperation with managers and colleagues. Since the role involves many internal contact points, you need to be able to communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing. You are structured and have a good ability to plan and prioritize. When prioritizing and making decisions, you weigh the organization's needs against applicable laws and agreements, while also considering robustness, economy, and the employee perspective. Within the team, tasks are rotated, which places demands on your flexibility and prioritization skills. The work pace varies, and reprioritization may be necessary by switching between long-term planning and quickly handling urgent situations that arise in operations. We value a positive attitude and are looking for you who want to contribute to a good work environment and good collaboration.
We are looking for you who have
- completed upper secondary education
- at least one year of current and relevant experience in staffing planning for an operation that runs 24/7, 365 days a year
- current and relevant experience working with working time regulations, collective agreements, and other agreements related to, for example, daily rest and weekly rest
- current and relevant experience working in personnel administrative systems
- good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
It is meritorious if you have
- relevant post-secondary education, for example, focused on economics, production control, or HR
