Within the Child and Education Administration, our approximately 3,000 employees interact with around 14,000 children and students at more than 100 preschools and schools throughout the municipality every day. Every child and student in Sundsvall's preschools and schools should be able to develop, learn, and reach their goals based on their own prerequisites. Every student should leave school with the desire, knowledge, and good conditions to meet adult life and the future.

Your new workplace

We are looking for a Special Sports Teacher (NIU) in Football at Hedbergska. Hedbergska is centrally located in Sundsvall and offers both university-preparatory and vocational programs. We have nearly 1,200 students and work in program teams focused on each student.

How you contribute as a special sports teacher

As a Upper Secondary School Teacher in Special Sports (NIU) Football, you plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching in close collaboration with school management, colleagues, students, guardians, and clubs. The position may also include teaching other courses within one of the school's programs, as well as mentoring students. The role involves being an important adult role model for students who combine upper secondary studies with an ambitious sports commitment. Therefore, you must be able to build trusting relationships and provide support to students even in situations that affect their studies and sports development.

Your skills and experience

Requirements: Teaching certification, qualification in Special Sports, UEFA B Coaching License, and UEFA Youth B Coaching License.

Merits: Coaching education or coaching programs at a university or college. Experience working as a teacher in Special Sports Football as well as a football coach in an academy setting.

We are looking for someone who is confident, engaged, and professional in their role. You have an easy time building and developing relationships with students, guardians, colleagues, and external partners. You are flexible and able to adapt your work based on the needs of the operations and the students. Since our students combine studies with a purposeful sports commitment, you need to be attentive, communicative, and have a genuine interest in supporting young people in their development, both on and off the field. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, such as your ability to create a good learning environment, collaborate with school management, colleagues, external actors, and handle challenges that may arise in school.

Good to know

Salary: Monthly/hourly wage. Individual and differentiated salary setting applies.

Terms: Salary supplements beyond the monthly wage follow the applicable collective agreement. Central collective agreements can be found on the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions website, www.skr.se
