As a School Psychologist, you work to ensure that all children and students are given the best conditions to succeed in school. You will become an important part of supporting the student health team by adding psychological expertise. You will have close collaboration with counselors, school nurses, special education teachers, study and career guidance counselors, speech therapists, and school leadership. In your role as a school psychologist, you will conduct assessments and evaluations of students, groups, and the organization to contribute knowledge about learning conditions and support needs. You will also provide supervision to school staff. The work will also involve educational initiatives to raise competence within the operations.

Your direct supervisor is the Head of Student Health, who sits centrally in the organization. As a school psychologist, you are also part of the administration's central student health service together with school nurses, school counselors, school doctors, speech therapists, and other school psychologists. The central student health service works with all children and students within preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, after-school centers, and high school. You will operate from the units you are responsible for.

Responsibilities

• Work with preventive and health-promoting measures at different levels.
• Consult and supervise pedagogical staff.
• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations.
• Provide crisis support in acute cases.
• Participate in student health teams and other meetings both within and outside of school.

Qualifications

You are a licensed psychologist, and we see that you have experience working as a school psychologist. You should have several years of experience in assessments and evaluations of children and adolescents. You are accustomed to supervising both individual clients and groups. You are able to independently plan and organize your work in collaboration with the schools based on the assignments assigned to you. As a person, you are secure, stable, and have the ability to create and maintain trusting relationships. You are positively inclined to share your knowledge with others and want to develop both yourself and the organization you work in. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
