Make a difference. Every day.
Do you want to work in a workplace where you make a difference for children and young people every day? Then we have the job for you! It doesn't matter if you are experienced or new to your professional role; the most important thing is that you want to work in a person-centered way and are curious to learn new things.
The habilitation service aims to make life more possible for people with long-term disabilities and their relatives. The disability may be due to mobility impairment, intellectual disability, and/or autism. The Habilitation Clinics in Ystad are divided into two clinics, one focused on adults and one focused on children and young people. The position is at the clinic for children and young people. The clinic is divided into two teams consisting of staff with medical, psychosocial, and pedagogical competence. Together with the patient, parents, and network, we create the patient's care plan and based on this, we provide interventions for both the patient and the family.
Our workplace works in a person-centered way where the patient's participation is in focus. We have a salutogenic approach, which means that everything we do should be meaningful, comprehensible, and manageable. This perspective shines through our entire operation, not only in the meeting with our patients but in all parts of the operation.
Here we have drive and a high ambition to continue developing our working methods, processes, and employees. We are a knowledge organization that provides tools to develop strengths and remove obstacles as well as promote communication. As a new employee, you follow a secure introduction program where, among other things, supervision and observation are included.
Are you curious to hear more about what it is like to work with us? Then look at the films where the employees themselves tell about their jobs in our operation/department:

Job Responsibilities
As a nurse, you are responsible for follow-ups according to various care programs, for example, Down syndrome and MMC (Myelomeningocele). In the role, you are also responsible for ensuring that patients who need interventions in the nutritional area receive the interventions they need and that regular growth checks are made for patients where there is a need. Furthermore, you identify, map, and analyze pain and sleep problems, as well as identify and map incontinence, and you follow up on any medical treatment measures in these areas. Your duties also include giving advice and support regarding toilet training, clean intermittent catheterization (CIC), and bowel management methods for various disabilities. You assess and prescribe incontinence products and you create medical self-care plans.
In the role, you participate in planning interventions together with the patient and relatives, and if necessary, with their network. Interventions are given in groups or individually, primarily remotely and physically if necessary. As a nurse, you have the privilege of supervising students and thus helping to train your future colleagues. In your work, you have close cooperation with both dietitians and doctors as well as with other professions in the team.
The Habilitation in Skåne is an operation that values employee development opportunities. Therefore, there is an opportunity to apply for unit-, operation-, and department-overshooting assignments. Some of these assignments are directed towards one's own professional profession, while other assignments may concern, for example, quality registers, resource teams, or knowledge support. There is also the opportunity to drive development work and write, for example, evidence-based reports. As a new employee, you are offered an introduction program adapted to needs and profession.
Working hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 08:00–16:30, Tuesday 08:00–18:30, and Friday 08:00–14:30. No weekend work occurs. We offer full-time with the possibility of part-time.
Qualifications
We welcome you who are a registered nurse with permission to work in Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement. Additionally, a valid B driver's license is a requirement. If you have experience working with children and young people, it is meritorious, as is work experience within habilitation operations. If you have a specialist nurse education focused on health and medical care for children and adolescents, it is also advantageous.
This is a job for you who sees opportunities before obstacles, is curious, and has the ability to work both independently and in a team. You see it as a matter of course that children are involved and work actively to increase and meet this involvement. Since the role involves both team work at the unit and collaboration with other actors such as preschool/school, social services, child and adolescent psychiatry, and somatic care, it is important that you have good cooperation skills.
