We are united in our strive to understand, explain, and improve our world and the conditions of human life.

The Research Group

The research group focuses on neurodegenerative diseases, with a particular emphasis on Parkinson's disease and normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH). We utilize various radiological methods, particularly magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), to study both the pathophysiology of these diseases and their diagnostic characteristics.

The group is led by Charalampos Georgiopoulos, Associate Professor and Senior Consultant in Neuroradiology. Other members include four clinical doctoral students and one senior researcher, and we collaborate closely with MRI physicists. We are an interdisciplinary and dynamic group with strong clinical ties and a shared goal of improving the diagnosis and understanding of neurodegenerative conditions through advanced medical imaging.

Within the research group, we value a good work environment characterized by respect and care in our interactions. We continuously work to create conditions for job satisfaction, development, and inclusion for all employees.

The research group is now seeking a student assistant (amanuens) for a fixed-term position at 10%. The proposed start date is September 1, 2026, or as agreed, until June 30, 2027.
