Make a difference. Every day.
Are you interested in a varied and developing work? Do you want to work at a workplace that continuously strives to achieve goals regarding accessibility, patient safety, equal care, and a good work environment? Then this might be the job for you!
The Cancer Rehabilitation Clinic is part of Skåne University Hospital (Sus) and provides rehabilitation for adult patients who are being treated/have been treated, cared for, or followed up medically. We strive to be a knowledge center for cancer rehabilitation and to contribute to development in the field through research, education, and supervision. Cancer rehabilitation aims to prevent and reduce the physical, psychological, social, and existential consequences of cancer and its treatment for the patient. The rehabilitation should, based on the patient's needs and wishes, provide support and conditions for the person to live a good life.
At our units in Lund and Malmö, doctors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, counselors, lymph therapists, psychologists, and sexologists work in close collaboration. We offer treatment and rehabilitation individually and in groups. The national care programs for cancer rehabilitation and lymphedema are our starting point in our work.
Furthermore, we continuously work with structured improvement efforts to achieve goals regarding accessibility, patient safety, equal care, and a good work environment.

WORK TASKS
We are now welcoming a physiotherapist to the Cancer Rehabilitation Clinic with placement within inpatient and outpatient care.
In the role of a physiotherapist with us, you have a varied and stimulating job. As a physiotherapist on the ward, you have an important role. Your main tasks include assessing mobility and testing mobility aids, training long-term hospitalized patients, respiratory care, and counseling on physical activity and ergonomics. Additionally, the work involves a broad patient work within areas such as pain, orthopedics, and neurology.
At the clinic, you primarily meet patients for support in physical activity and training during ongoing treatment. After treatment has ended, you meet patients who have late side effects from treatment, such as neuropathy and radiation fibrosis. We work with the patient in focus and adapt the rehabilitation based on the patient's needs and goals. At the clinic, we also have various group treatments such as water gymnastics, circuit training, balance training, and medi-yoga, which we would be happy to see the applicant is interested in.
In your work, you are solution-oriented and can set boundaries and ask for help when needed. You treat both patients and colleagues based on the hospital's and unit's core values: welcoming, driving, caring, and respectful.
We operate in both Malmö and Lund, which means work may take place at both locations as needed. Working hours are Monday to Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist with the right to practice in Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are required. Previous experience working in inpatient care or within hematology/oncology is meritorious.
We are looking for an engaged, non-hierarchical, and innovative person who has a good ability to see the big picture and wants to help develop future cancer rehabilitation. You work in a structured, independent, and meticulous manner while having good collaboration skills. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
We warmly welcome your application!
