Welcome to Trevnaden, a group home in central Malmö for people with dementia and increased care needs. Here we work with a target group that requires extra support, structure, and competence in daily care work.

Trevnaden is centrally located in Malmö, near Södervärn. The residence has a large, park-like garden with walking paths, flowers, berry bushes, and a barbecue area. The building consists of five floors with eight to ten apartments. Each floor has open communal areas for our residents.

Trevnaden is a "Star-Certified" residence. Star-Certified is an educational model developed by the Swedish Dementia Centre, certifying that employees have received basic knowledge about dementia and tools for person-centered work. Read more at www.stjarnmarkt.se (http://www.stjarnmarkt.se/).

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant at Trevnaden's group home, you will work with people who have dementia and increased care needs. All our work is permeated by TERMA.

At our facility, you will work with people exhibiting behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia, known as BPSD. Examples of these symptoms can include aggression, anxiety, apathy, hallucinations, or sleep disturbances.

The role of a nursing assistant includes, among other things, providing care, service, support, and conducting social activities based on the resident's individual needs and wishes. Seeing and interpreting the residents' needs and wishes is important as we work person-centered at the residence. Your work also includes creating implementation plans and BPSD plans with a high quality standard.

The work also includes cleaning, laundry, giving advice and information, and motivating and stimulating the resident so they can do as much as possible on their own. The work requires medical care tasks delegated by a nurse. You will be the contact person for one or two residents, and your task as a contact person is to ensure that the resident's needs are met. Documentation in the Lifecare system is also part of the job.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant and have studied psychiatry in your education.

You have extensive experience working in dementia care, BPSD, and experience working with a person-centered approach. We would like you to have previously worked with people who have dementia and increased care needs. Having completed the Star-Certified education is an advantage. It is an advantage if you are trained in TERMA.

It is also important that you have an interest in working with person-centered care to create a meaningful everyday life for our residents. The work requires good experience in documenting and working based on established implementation plans, BPSD plans, and social documentation. We assume that you can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Training in person-centered care and knowledge of Lifecare, Senior Alert, and Flexite are advantageous.

As a nursing assistant, you actively participate in care work, have a professional attitude, are solution-focused, take great personal responsibility, and are positive towards changes and development work. You can adapt to and handle situations that may occur in working with this target group.

Collaboration is an important part of the work at Trevnaden, so we assume that you are a good colleague who can support your coworkers when needed. To work with us, you must be able to work in environments where animals are present.
