The Rehabilitation Clinic in Ystad serves all inpatient wards at the Hospital in Ystad. The area of responsibility also includes rehabilitation within specialized outpatient care and specialized day rehabilitation at the hospital. The unit consists of approximately 40 employees with different professions, such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, social workers, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, assistant nurses, and nurses. Teamwork is a foundation for all our work, regardless of which ward we work on.

DUTIES

Our operations offer specialized outpatient rehabilitation for people of different ages. The most common diagnoses are stroke, other neurological diseases, and cognitive impairment. The work in Specialized Day Rehabilitation can, depending on interest, be complemented with work in other parts of the operations.
Here at day rehabilitation, we work closely together in a team consisting of several professions: doctors, physiotherapists, social workers, rehabilitation assistant nurses, and nurses. The work is carried out from a person-centered perspective. You analyze and assess the patient's ability to perform daily activities in the areas of personal care, housing, work/education, and leisure. Rehabilitation includes measures such as assessment, training, education, compensatory measures in the form of assistive devices, support measures, and environmental adaptation aimed at achieving the goals formulated together with the patient. We have access to different training and assessment environments, from consultation rooms to gymnasiums, kitchens, simple carpentry workshops, and gardens.

The working hours are during the day, Monday to Friday, and include some weekend duty on a sparse interval. In the position, you also get the opportunity to broaden your skills to be able to work towards other departments if needed. Supervision of occupational therapy students may also be included in the position. Your employment begins with an individually adapted introduction and a plan for continued competence development.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist with the eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement.
We would appreciate it if you had experience of neurological rehabilitation. It is meritorious with further education in stroke, cognitive impairment, or lymph therapy. We also see it as meritorious if you have worked with the medical record system Melior and have basic computer skills.

In addition, you are engaged, driven, have good organizational skills, and want to contribute to the continued development of our operations together with us. You have good cooperation and initiative skills and flexibility to quickly adapt to changed circumstances or needs and thrive with creative and varied work.
