You get a unique opportunity to help shape, develop, and put your own stamp on this new and exciting role from the very start.
Your role as Municipal Pharmacist
The Municipal Pharmacist's mission is to strengthen quality, patient safety, and cost-effectiveness in medication use within municipal healthcare. The role should contribute to safe, appropriate, and person-centered medication treatment for patients in areas such as home care, special housing, and LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) activities.
The role involves significant personal responsibility where you work in close collaboration with a fellow pharmacist, nursing assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and the medically responsible nurse (MAS) in interdisciplinary teams. In this collaboration, your specialist competence will be fully utilized. Your duties include, among other things:
- Develop, implement, and follow up on routines for safe medication management.
- Initiate and participate in quality-improving initiatives within the pharmaceutical field. Participate in self-controls, audits, and follow-ups of medication processes.
- Analyze, investigate, and prevent medication-related deviations.
- Act as an expert in pharmaceutical matters and provide advice and support to nurses, MAS, managers, and other healthcare staff.
- Contribute to improved medication use among patients with complex treatments.

- Plan and conduct training in medication management. Contribute to a cohesive and safe medication chain between care providers.
