Department 83 is a psychiatric inpatient unit with a general psychiatric focus. Our subspecialty is patients with affective disorders. The patient group covers various ages and diagnoses, and many are in an acute phase of their illness when they come to us. We have 17 care beds and treat patients within the framework of the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) and the Act on Compulsory Psychiatric Care (LPT).

Our mission is to raise the patient's level of functioning so they can benefit from continued care in our outpatient services. We work to ensure a patient-centered focus, and our goal is that patients never need to stay in inpatient care longer than their condition requires. This makes early collaboration with external actors, such as neighboring care providers and municipalities, crucial. On the unit, we work based on standardized care processes (SVP), and care consists of a combination of medical and psychosocial interventions. Doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, peer supporters, unit managers, and team leaders work here.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now welcoming two dedicated and responsible nurses. In this role, you combine psychiatric and medical nursing with leadership, and are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on nursing interventions based on patient needs. You lead and support staff in their daily work while having overall responsibility for medication management and dispensing. You work closely with patients, colleagues, relatives, and our neighboring care providers, focusing on ensuring safe, cohesive, and high-quality care. Additionally, you contribute to the development and quality assurance of our care.

The position is a day position that includes day and evening shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you if you are a licensed nurse with the eligibility to work in Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. Further education in psychiatry and/or experience working in psychiatry is meritorious.

As a person, you are responsible and have the ability to work both independently and in close collaboration with others. You have a good attitude towards people, communicate clearly, and contribute to a positive work climate. Furthermore, you have good organizational skills and feel confident in a leadership role where you take initiative and create structure in daily work. We also look for a genuine interest in psychiatry. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
