Höör is located in the heart of Scania, has good train connections, beautiful nature, 17,000 inhabitants, and steady population growth. With approximately 1,400 employees, Höör Municipality is the largest employer. Many of our staff commute here.

Maglehill is a newly built district located in the western part of Höör. Here you will find our newly built special housing for people with cognitive impairment and dementia. In the surrounding area, there is a residential neighborhood, a newly built preschool, a primary school (grades 1-6), and a sports hall. The distance to the railway station is approximately 850 meters. The special housing opened in January 2024. On the first floor, there is Ward 1, where the corridor is green, symbolizing the forest, and Ward 2, with a blue corridor symbolizing water. On the second floor, there is the yellow ward, symbolizing light, and Ward 4, symbolizing warmth. It is to Ward 2 that we are now seeking you, a responsible and engaged employee, as one of our staff members has chosen to start working in another operation.

Job Responsibilities

We work with the individual citizen's sense of coherence. You should work actively during your shifts for the citizen's well-being based on their daily condition.

You have an empathetic ability, work functionally and activity-supportively, and have a salutogenic approach. It is the citizen's needs that drive our work, which means that your attitude and commitment will be of great importance for how the days turn out. You are a team player!

The work involves standard care and support measures within municipal operations, such as personal care, medication delegation, and actively documenting in our documentation and handling system. We want to identify your personal strengths, commitment, and competence and utilize them by working with areas of responsibility and ombudsman roles.

Here, it is important to actively participate and contribute to a good work climate where we help each other with daily tasks. We appreciate the ability to organize your work together with colleagues, and we want you to take overall responsibility for the citizens living on the ward where you work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Completed nursing education at the upper secondary level or equivalent
  • Protected professional title as an assistant nurse (undersköterska)
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing, as well as good computer skills

Even you who have long and documented experience working in elderly care with a focus on cognitive impairment may be assessed as having equivalent competence.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Further education in dementia, psychiatry, or other specialist knowledge
  • Experience from elderly care
  • Experience or interest in working with digital aids in care

The position will be filled subject to the necessary political decisions being made and provided it does not need to be taken for internal use.
