About the role and your responsibilities

The position is located at Gymnasieskolan Vipan, which is Lund Municipality's upper secondary school specializing in vocational education, individual options, and adapted upper secondary education. The school employs several school nurses responsible for different parts of our educational programs.

The work is primarily health-promoting and preventive with students in some of the school's programs. You are part of the school's student health services, where everyone collaborates closely to support the student's development towards the goals of the education. You also contribute to developing the school's student health work together with other colleagues, focusing on promoting and preventive efforts.

Your duties include, among other things, health conversations, issues regarding students' working environment, questions concerning lifestyle-related ill health, basic healthcare interventions, and collaboration with fellow school nurses and school doctors. Additionally, group-oriented interventions are common. As a school nurse, you need to be flexible and able to prioritize quickly. Of course, you maintain a professional and welcoming attitude towards students, colleagues, and guardians.

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with specialist education as a school nurse, pediatric nurse, or district nurse. In addition, you need to have a good ability to collaborate as part of a team, both within the school and with other professions within the student health services. You must also be skilled at building good relationships with students, guardians, colleagues, and school leadership. Previous experience as a school nurse is meritorious.

About the workplace

Gymnasieskolan Vipan is a modern upper secondary school and Lund's only municipal vocational school. Approximately 1,200 students complete their education here, divided into eight national vocational programs, adapted upper secondary education, and introductory programs.

The school is located in the expanding and beautiful Vipeholm area, east of central Lund, where housing and commercial districts are currently being built. The school is in the midst of a major investment, building new facilities and renovating properties in the Campus Vipan project.
