Make a difference. Every day.
We now have the opportunity to expand our nursing team and are looking for two nurse colleagues with an interest in psychiatry. You will work in a dynamic environment where your skills offer great opportunities to make a significant difference for patients.
About the Clinic
The Adult Psychiatry Clinic on Drottninggatan is located in central Malmö. Our mission is to investigate, diagnose, assess, and treat patients with general psychiatric diagnoses. The clinic offers a wide range of treatments, including investigations, pharmacological treatment, psychological therapy with various approaches, supportive counseling, and group therapy.
The clinic has approximately 45 employees divided into three base teams. In addition to nurses, the teams include psychologists, doctors, care assistants, occupational therapists, social workers, rehabilitation coordinators, medical secretaries, physiotherapists, administrators, and receptionists. Together, we possess broad and varied expertise.
We are a staff group that works with a strong sense of teamwork and values standardized care processes with the patient in focus. Here, everyone takes responsibility, supports each other, and helps one another in a warm climate. The workplace is characterized by a high level of commitment to our patients and a shared responsibility for our work environment and social atmosphere.
Responsibilities
In your role as a nurse, you will independently perform treatment and assessment work, motivational interviewing, develop care plans, handle crisis intervention, and conduct assessments such as suicide risk assessments, as well as medication follow-ups. The position also includes telephone advice, sample collection, work with 1177 (Swedish healthcare portal), medication management, and supervision of students.
The clinic's work is based on interdisciplinary teams where different competencies and experiences enrich and complement each other. We work according to standardized care processes, where nursing care is tailored individually and characterized by professional interaction. We offer you varied work with opportunities for development within your nursing role. Here, you will have the chance to influence your tasks, make prioritizations, and participate in efforts to improve care at the unit.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the eligibility to work in Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at level C1 or higher according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. Experience from working in psychiatry and/or further education in psychiatry is meritorious. We prefer that you are accustomed to working with patient conversations.
As a person, you are meticulous, structured, and take great responsibility for your work. You have the ability to work both independently and in a team. Furthermore, you are flexible and creative. You value good collaboration and contribute to it by sharing your knowledge and experiences with your colleagues, while also being accustomed to making your own decisions. Since no two days are alike, we place great importance on good teamwork skills, a positive attitude, and personal suitability.
As part of the suitability assessment before an employment offer, a check of the criminal record and suspicion register may be conducted.
