Within the Social Care Administration, approximately 1,200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, and social psychiatry, as well as individual and family care.

About the Workplace

Ystad Municipality's home care consists of eight dedicated work groups that work every day to create security, independence, and quality of life for our users.

In Svarte and Löderup, you will work in beautiful natural surroundings close to both the sea and the countryside. Here you will meet users with various needs, including cognitive illnesses and somatic care interventions. The work is varied and independent, while you are part of a team where collaboration and care are in focus.

Job Responsibilities

As an assistant nurse with us, you are a key person in our users' everyday lives. You meet people in their own homes and create security and a dignified existence based on their individual needs.

Your tasks involve more than just care and may include, among other things:

• Providing personal care with respect, warmth, and professionalism.
• Supporting in daily chores such as cooking, shopping, cleaning, and laundry.
• Creating social security through conversation, presence, and engagement.
• Performing delegated health and medical care interventions, such as medication administration.
• Working independently with the planning of your visits.
• Being an important link between users, relatives, and colleagues.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position, the following are required:

• You are trained as an assistant nurse with a protected professional title.
• You master Swedish in speech and writing (at least passing basic Swedish from primary school Grade 9 or SFI D).
• Cycling proficiency.
• Category B driver's license.

Previous experience in care work, home care, and training/experience regarding cognitive illness is meritorious.

Employment Terms

• Salary: Monthly salary.
• Employment type: Permanent position.
• Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-08-31 (Start date according to agreement).
• Working hours: Schedule. Evening shifts with duty every other weekend.
