The Social Services Administration (SCF) is led by a Director and is divided into four departments: SCF Support Staff, Child and Youth Authority, Child and Youth Interventions, and Adults.

Description of Duties

As a Family Therapist, you work with intensive, psychosocial change work together with parents, children, young people, their families, and other important persons for the family. The work is carried out through qualified family conversations in different constellations and with great flexibility regarding location and form.

The goal of family therapy is to strengthen the family's ability to solve relational, emotional, and behavioral problems in the whole or parts of the family. Families are helped to use their own competencies and abilities to handle daily life. Around each family is a treatment team consisting of coordinators, family therapists, and youth therapists from the unit. Your role will also include being a coordinator in certain cases. As a coordinator, you have overall contact with other actors and lead and hold together the specific team's work.

Our work always starts from a systemic perspective. The work takes place in close collaboration with our colleagues at the authority unit who grant the intervention for the child and/or youth and formulate a task. As a family therapist, you manage this task together with the family and create goals that the family is involved in. Some telephone on-call duty occurs.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a social worker or have another equivalent university education. You have previous experience of treatment work and have a B driver's license. Further education in systems theory, CBT, or equivalent is meritorious. Step 1 training is also meritorious.

You adapt easily to changed circumstances. You can quickly change your perspective and approach; in change, you see opportunities. As a person, you are calm, stable, and controlled in stressful situations. You maintain a realistic perspective on different situations and focus on the right things. In your work, you plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively, and keep set timeframes.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.

In your application, you must state your citizenship.
