Job Description
As a Healthcare Administrator here, you work closely with the eye care operations and contribute to creating a safe and secure care process for our patients. The tasks vary and can be adapted to your competence and areas of interest.
Examples of tasks:
- Responsible for patient-related documentation in Cosmic.
- Scheduling and rescheduling of patients as well as handling our waiting lists.
- Handling referrals and administrative reception support.
- Handling cases from 1177.
- Disease classification and DRG coding.
- Participation in operational follow-up.
- Work in a team and contribute to good collaboration and open dialogue with colleagues.
- Supervision of students.
- Registry care.
Work Group
You will belong to our secretariat, which today consists of 16 employees, including 13 healthcare administrators and three administrators. We work at Garnisonen in Linköping and have close collaboration with other professional groups at the clinic, doctors, nurses, opticians, and nursing assistants.

About You
You who apply have a vocational higher education (YH) as a Healthcare Administrator/Medical Secretary or equivalent. It is also meritorious with supervisor training and experience as an LBA- and ITR-resource.
We look for experience in scheduling and rescheduling patients, handling waiting lists, working in Cosmic, and patient-related documentation. These experiences are important as the role requires independence, good structure, and secure handling of administrative care processes.
It is meritorious to have experience with DRG coding and disease classification as well as referral handling.
Necessary skills to succeed in this role are good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing – this is important for documentation and patient safety. Good system familiarity is also important, especially in Cosmic.
As a person, you are flexible and can adapt to changed conditions. You need to have good communication skills and enjoy working closely with others.
