SJR is now hiring a Senior Accountant with a focus on Danish accounting

To our client, an international and growing company in the security industry with offices in central Stockholm, we are now looking for a Senior Accountant. This is a consulting assignment starting immediately for an initial period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

About the role

In this role, you will hold a central position within the finance function, responsible for accounting, reporting, and regulatory compliance, with a specific focus on Danish accounting. You will work closely with the Finance Director and other parts of the organization, both locally and globally, actively contributing to the development of efficient processes and ensuring high quality in financial operations. The role involves a combination of operational responsibility and participation in improvement initiatives in a dynamic and changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing accounting including customer and supplier accounts.
• Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing.
• Ensure correct handling according to Danish accounting standards and local regulations.
• Handle VAT and tax matters related to Denmark.
• Prepare annual reports and financial statements according to current requirements.
• Perform analyses and support the business with financial issues.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
• Drive improvement work within accounting and reporting.
• Participate in the development of processes and systems.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with an academic education in economics and several years of experience in qualified accounting work. You have extensive experience in closing processes and are confident in working according to relevant accounting principles. A requirement for the role is that you have practical experience with Danish accounting and a good understanding of local tax and VAT rules. You have also worked in major business systems and have good knowledge of Excel. Experience from international organizations is considered an asset.
