Authorization and Quality Manager for Järfälla Adult Education

At the Education Administration in Järfälla Municipality, approximately 3,100 employees work across our 39 preschools, 22 schools, upper secondary schools, adult education programs, and central administration. Järfälla Adult Education and Activity Responsibility operates municipal adult education in both authorized and self-run modes, and works with the municipality's activity responsibility (KAA). The operations are divided into Youth and Adult Guidance, focusing on the application and admission process as well as KAA, and Järfälla Learning Center, our own school. The activities at the Learning Center include SFI (Swedish for Immigrants), courses at basic and upper secondary levels in Swedish as a Second Language, vocational training within healthcare and social care, construction, hospitality, and food services, as well as adapted adult education at basic and upper secondary levels.

By focusing on systematic quality work, we collaborate to develop our operations through new methods, approaches, and initiatives. To coordinate our internal work and also support work within our primary collaboration cluster, we are looking for an Authorization and Quality Manager. Here, you will have a key role in developing future adult education, with the opportunity to influence structure, quality, and working methods in an operation of significant societal importance.

Job Responsibilities

As the Authorization and Quality Manager, you are part of the adult education management support team. You have a broad assignment where you work close to operations, support the school leadership, and are responsible for your own analyses, initiating improvement work, and aggregating results and analyses to the school leadership.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Checking requirements in incoming authorization applications and supporting the principal in the decision-making process
Ensuring an effective structure in the student administrative system Alvis, which supports the admission process, course offerings, and follow-up
Acting as a contact person and support for authorized education providers regarding Alvis and administrative processes linked to the system
Ensuring quality data in our various systems, e.g., Alvis, and serving as a support for managers to work qualitatively with this data
Compiling, analyzing, aggregating, and reporting quality data and deviations
Evaluating and initiating improvements regarding internal processes
Following up on and auditing authorized education providers based on agreements, policy documents, and quality requirements, and participating in joint operational visits
Initiating and creating questionnaire surveys and other follow-ups based on needs
Reviewing existing routines annually and identifying needs to revise or create new routines and working methods together with the school leadership

Qualifications

We believe you are someone who feels comfortable taking responsibility for systematic quality work at a municipal adult education provider governed by laws and policy documents, as well as political priorities. You have a strong drive and ability to take independent responsibility. You feel secure in your professional role and can support school leadership in improvement work. You enjoy working independently with numbers, follow-ups, and analysis, but also value contact with employees both digitally and physically. You need to be externally oriented, keep yourself updated in your field, and actively absorb new knowledge and trends. You are team-oriented and understand the importance of good collaboration with people at all levels to achieve results.

You must have:

Post-secondary education with a focus on quality, statistics, pedagogy, or equivalent
Very good knowledge of the adult education school form
Very good knowledge of Alvis and the ability to handle, interpret, classify, and structure data in the system
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

It is meritorious if you have:

Worked with quality issues within education
Knowledge of the Student and Youth Database (UEDB)
Experience working in a politically governed organization
