Do you want to take on a key role in an international group where you can combine operational responsibility with the development of processes, reporting, and financial control? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment with many contact points and the opportunity to make an impact? Then this might be an exciting consulting assignment for you.

About the assignment

We are currently looking for an Interim Group Financial Controller for an assignment with an immediate start and an initial duration of six months. In this role, you will become a central part of the group's finance function, responsible for group accounting, financial reporting, and consolidation. You will work closely with both management and international finance teams, contributing to ensuring high quality in reporting, processes, and financial control.

In addition to ongoing accounting responsibilities, you will also be involved in development initiatives related to processes, systems, and internal controls.

Your main responsibilities

  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual group accounts
  • Ensure correct group consolidation and reporting in accordance with IFRS
  • Drive the development of accounting policies, internal controls, and financial processes
  • Support audits, regulatory reporting, and tax-related matters
  • Collaborate with and guide finance functions in multiple countries
  • Participate in projects related to acquisitions, integrations, and the development of financial systems

This role suits you if you enjoy switching between operational work and improvement initiatives, and if you thrive being a key player in an international organization.

About you

We are looking for someone with a solid background in accounting and financial reporting, and who is accustomed to working in complex group structures. You feel confident in IFRS matters, group consolidation, and reporting to management and stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

  • An academic degree in economics or a corresponding qualified accounting background
  • At least 10 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and group accounting
  • Extensive experience with IFRS and international group environments
  • Experience from an audit firm, preferably Big 4
  • Very good skills in Excel

It is an advantage if you have worked with NetSuite or AARO, and if you have experience from fintech or fast-growing technology companies.

As a person, you are analytical, structured, and self-driven. You easily build trust within the organization and thrive in a role that combines detailed focus with a broader business perspective.
