About the Position

For the Area of Care for People with Disabilities (OF), we are looking for a care assistant located at Ingenjörsvägen 59, which is a group home for adults under Section 9 of the LSS Act.

Responsibilities

As a care assistant, your task is to provide service to people with disabilities. Your main responsibilities involve meeting our users' needs for care, nursing, and interaction. You base your work on the users' individual conditions, founded on the individual's needs and interests formulated in the implementation plan. In your role, you participate in all common tasks. This may include motivating users to activities such as bowling or a bus trip that you accompany, managing challenging behavior, and communicating through alternative communication methods.

Documentation is a recurring part of the work. The role sometimes involves working alone. As one of us, you naturally participate in our quality assurance, operational, and competence development. You are based at Ingenjörsvägen 59 but may work shifts in other operations within OF in Oskarshamn Municipality. The work includes sleeping on-call duties.

Qualifications

You have a nurse assistant degree or other education that the employer finds equivalent. It is meritorious if you have post-secondary education in the field of disabilities/psychiatry and/or further training in alternative communication. We also look for previous experience working with this target group, as well as knowledge and understanding of the user's needs.

A Category B driver's license is required, and you must be clear in your verbal and written communication in Swedish.
