We offer a developing and interesting job on our joint care ward where you, as a nursing assistant, gain broad competence in your profession. The ward operates 24/7, and we strive for good and equal care with high quality, as well as employees with appropriate competence. The nursing work is varied and includes both traditional nursing care and medical-technical tasks. The tasks may change quickly depending on which patients are being cared for at the time. After approximately one year of experience at the infectious disease clinic, you will be double-qualified and able to handle both infectious disease and ENT (ear, nose, and throat) patients. As an employee, you are part of various responsibility groups and thus have several development opportunities. You can engage in areas such as patient safety, standby teams, and student supervision.

We are a relatively small clinic with close collaboration between professions, and we work closely in teams consisting of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. This creates a dynamic workplace with engaged employees. We have fun together!

At the moment, we are looking for several new colleagues for temporary positions during the autumn, extending over a year. The position is full-time.

We process applications on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the final application date.

About You

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant with a focus on emergency care. The work as a nursing assistant on the joint care ward requires interest and knowledge to care for both infectious disease patients and ENT patients. We see that you have a few years of experience working as a nursing assistant in inpatient care.

As a person, you take initiative and get things done with good results. You see opportunities in changes and work well with other people with the operations in focus. You are a person who can handle quick turns, has the ability to make quick prioritizations with good judgment, and make decisions based on the patient's best interest. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

As of July 1, 2023, 'nursing assistant' is a protected job title. To use the title of nursing assistant within care and social services, a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare is required. Apply here at the National Board of Health and Welfare.

Your Future Workplace

The infectious disease clinic is county-wide and is responsible for highly specialized infectious disease care for all age groups. We care for patients where both acute medical care and monitoring take place. The infectious disease patient is sometimes so critically ill that vital parameters need to be monitored with central monitoring. Nursing care of the patients is a large part of the work, but it also includes medical-technical moments such as sample collection and urinary catheterization. In addition to infectious disease patients, patients with ear, nose, and throat diseases are cared for on the ward. With us, the collaboration around the patient is in focus, which means we have a very good team spirit between the professions. We are also a university healthcare unit that conducts broad research that engages all different professional categories.

We warmly welcome you to our clinic where you will receive a good introduction and feel secure in your role as a nursing assistant.
