About the Controller Role

We are looking for a senior and independent professional who is confident in the controller role and can work both strategically and operationally. For this assignment, you should have a good understanding of investments, preferably with a technical focus, as the role is based at the Economics Unit of the Traffic Office. The tasks include budgeting, forecasting, and calculations, as well as working on projects funded by EU funds, which involves handling extensive and complex information, often in English.

The role involves acting as a support and liaison between the operations and the controllers responsible for the departments where the funds are allocated. You will work independently and contribute to creating a long-term and sustainable structure for working with external financing.

The assignment also includes documenting working methods and developing and implementing new routines and processes for the role. The office actively works towards a unified way of working, which should guide the development of new processes and routines. We aim to avoid side solutions and parallel working methods that risk creating inefficiency.

Other tasks may also occur.

To succeed in the assignment, we see that you are communicative, analytical, structured, and meticulous, with a clear perspective on simplification. A good understanding of accounting and financial management is a prerequisite.

The assignment requires good collaboration skills and the ability to create structure in an operation where working methods and responsibilities are still under development.

Who are you?

The offered consultant must meet the following competency requirements:

• University degree in economics
• At least two years of experience as a controller
• Good knowledge of accounting
• Very good system proficiency in business systems
• At least one year of experience with Agresso
• Very good MS Office skills

As a person, you should be driven, communicative, and have good collaboration skills. Working independently and defining the role during the assignment is crucial. You should also work to contribute to common routines that create structure and simplicity.

• External financing and grant management
• Work within the public sector
• EU-funded projects
• Change and development work
• Creation of governing documents, routines, and processes

What we offer

This is a full-time (100%) consulting assignment for approximately 8 months, with the possibility of extension. An immediate start is preferred, but there is some flexibility to start in August.

Good to know

There is an opportunity to take a continuous leave during the summer (July).

The work is hybrid. You are expected to work on-site at least three days a week and have flexible hours.
