On behalf of our client, we are currently looking for an Interim Senior Financial Controller for a six-month consulting assignment starting as soon as possible.

The position is full-time and based at the office in central Stockholm, with the possibility of hybrid work.

This is a key role in a growing organization where you will have significant responsibility for accounting, reporting, and financial processes. For the right candidate, there is an opportunity for a permanent position after the assignment ends, but this is not a requirement.

About the role

As a Senior Financial Controller, you will have overall responsibility for the closing process for one or more legal entities according to K3. You will work operationally and closely with the business while contributing to group reporting, consolidation, and the development of financial processes.

A central part of the role is to act as a superuser and system owner for NetSuite. Therefore, we are looking for someone with extensive experience working in NetSuite and who feels confident in both the administration, development, and improvement of ERP processes.

In this role, you will report to the Accounting Manager and collaborate with both the local finance team and group functions.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive monthly, quarterly, and annual closing according to K3 for one or more legal entities.
• Ensure quality and control in the balance sheet and income statement through ongoing analysis and reconciliations.
• Handle manual bookings and accounting-related activities in NetSuite.
• Prepare annual financial statements and financial reports.
• Participate in group consolidation.
• Collaborate with external accounting firms and ensure compliance with local regulations.

We are looking for someone with

• Several years of experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior finance role.
• Extensive experience in accounting and closing work according to K3.
• Very strong skills in NetSuite.
• Experience with the entire accounting workflow.
• Experience from medium-sized or larger companies.
• Good understanding of internal control, financial reporting, and process development.
