RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you ready to make mathematics come alive through varied teaching, smart pedagogy, and a new way of thinking?

We are now looking for a substitute special education teacher in mathematics at Öresundsgymnasiet in Landskrona for the school year 26/27, starting August 12, 2026.

In the role, you work with mathematics teaching at the upper secondary level with a special focus on meeting students with different needs and prerequisites. You work both in smaller groups and in classrooms, and in close collaboration with colleagues and student health services, you find individual solutions for students who find it hardest to reach the course goals. This is a role for you who enjoy combining subject knowledge with pedagogical creativity and who are driven by seeing each student take steps forward.

The responsibilities include among other things:

• Plan and conduct mathematics teaching at the upper secondary level, as well as create a safe and positive study environment.
• Differentiate the teaching to meet students' different needs and prerequisites.
• In consultation with mathematics colleagues, plan individual solutions for students who have difficulty reaching the course goals.
• Assess and grade students' knowledge according to the Swedish National Agency for Education's guidelines, as well as follow up and document students' development.
• Collaborate with colleagues in work teams, subject teams, and student health services.
• Maintain regular contact with guardians as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements for the position:

• Teacher certification with eligibility to teach mathematics in grades 7-9 of compulsory school or at the upper secondary level
• Good knowledge of the Swedish National Agency for Education's steering documents, curricula, and assessment criteria
• Proficiency in the Swedish language in speech and writing

Merits:

• Started or completed special education teacher education in mathematics
• Experience of teaching mathematics at the upper secondary level in smaller groups as well as in class
