About the workplace

Ersta Elderly Care is part of Ersta Diaconia and operates a total of nine nursing homes in Stockholm and Uppsala. Our goal is to provide our residents with a secure and content-rich daily life, featuring activities, community, and good, enjoyable meals. At our facilities, everyone should feel at home!

Sarahhem opened in 2018 and is today a well-established operation with satisfied residents and staff. Sarahhem is located in Nacka/Älta and has 54 tastefully furnished apartments spread over two floors, designed for people with dementia and care needs. We have a large, sunny, and lush garden and are located right next to nature and outdoor recreation areas. We are keen on creating a beautiful environment where genuine homeliness meets modern technology.

At Sarahhem, nurses, rehabilitation staff, care personnel, and management work in close collaboration. Our work is based on science and performed with heart. Through our professionalism, trust, and hope, we create a nursing home as it should be!

As an employee with us, we offer a range of benefits that we hope will give you the conditions to enjoy your work and have a rewarding free time.

About the role

As an Operations Coordinator, you are a key part of creating a secure and well-functioning daily life for our residents and staff. You ensure that staffing works, that the operation is well-organized, and that employees have the support they need. When the right person is in the right place and the operation runs smoothly, the best conditions for good care are created.

In this diverse role, you will:

  • be responsible for staffing during short-term absences – handle sick leave notifications, maintain close dialogue with managers and employees, and contribute to ensuring the right competence is in place to meet the residents' needs
  • administer changed times in our scheduling system (Medvind)
  • be responsible for well-stocked storages – inventory, order, and handle deliveries of consumables
  • handle various types of purchases for the premises
  • submit fault reports and have contact with the property department
  • prepare, support, and administer activities that contribute to a meaningful and content-rich daily life for our residents
  • handle administrative tasks related to, for example, phones, keys, and similar items
  • handle administration regarding and receiving of assistant nurse students who are interning with us
  • be part of the operation's management group and contribute to the development of the home.

Working hours are Monday–Friday, 07:00–15:30.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who thrive as the hub of the network and want to contribute to creating a well-functioning and homely daily life for our residents and staff. You have a professional approach and an eye for the big picture, while not hesitating to take on the details. You are structured and orderly, with a natural ability to create overview and keep track of many parts simultaneously. You also understand how your work affects both the employees' conditions and the residents' daily lives. Your positive attitude and desire to create a pleasant atmosphere make you an important part of our team.

To thrive in this role, it is important that you have:

  • a social and communicative manner, which enables you to collaborate well with both employees and managers.
  • drive and initiative – you see what needs to be done and do it!
  • a non-hierarchical attitude – you dare to ask when needed and are not afraid to seek support when necessary.

At our organization, care is a competence. It is about seeing people's needs, taking responsibility for the whole, and creating conditions for security and quality in daily life. Therefore, your ability to coordinate, support, and create structure is just as important as your administrative skills.

You share Ersta's value base of seeing the whole person and our core values; professionalism, trust, and hope.

Your experience

You have:

  • experience in staffing and administrative work, preferably in a similar environment
  • good computer skills and the ability to handle different administrative systems, such as Medvind
  • a high school diploma

We view it positively if you have a B-driver's license and access to a car.
