We are now looking for a teacher in Swedish, Mathematics, and Social Studies.

Your role with us

As a teacher with us, you stimulate students to learn and take personal responsibility. With engagement and enthusiasm, you create a secure learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation, through good leadership both inside and outside the classroom.

The teaching is designed based on the curriculum's goals, where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are important pillars. You have positive and high expectations for the students and adapt the teaching to all students' levels, with a focus on the student's best interests.

Through dialogue, you create good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach. In your role, you stay up to date with events in the outside world and young people's daily lives. Alternative teaching tools and documentation are a natural part of your work. You systematically reflect on practical work and, together with colleagues, drive development work in the working group/school. You also share responsibility for your own and the group's planning and further development.

If you are new as a teacher, you are supported by a mentor for the best guidance in your work. If you are an unqualified teacher, you can conduct teaching but not be responsible for it. Responsibility for grading lies with a certified teacher.

Who are we looking for?

We are primarily looking for you with a teaching certificate and eligibility to teach in grades 4-6 in the subjects Swedish, Mathematics, and Social Studies in primary school. In the second instance, we are looking for you who have subject knowledge at university level in the above subjects. It is an advantage if you have pedagogical education at university level. We would like you to have experience in conducting teaching, preferably within primary school and working with children/young people aged 10-13.

You have the ability to adapt teaching based on each student's prerequisites, and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, calmness, and a desire to learn. You have engagement, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in the school world and how it is affected by the outside world.

A success factor is that you can create trusting relationships both in and outside of school. Furthermore, you are a secure pedagogical leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and the working group's methods for continuous development.

Naturally, you use digital technology in teaching and as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting. You organize and structure your work based on specified goals.

As a person, you are communicative, receptive, and well-acquainted, and you live up to the ethical principles for teachers, as well as having a talent for analyzing and documenting students' abilities and knowledge.

To enable us to decide on your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching certificate. If there are no eligible certified teachers, you as an unqualified person can be employed on a fixed-term basis according to the Education Act. When we want to offer you the position, it is required that you show an extract from the police record to enable us to employ you, according to regulations in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.

Kristianstad Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting.

Start Date

We offer a temporary position with a start date of 2026-10-01 and duration until 2027-06-18.

Salary form: Monthly salary.
