Teacher in Swedish as a Second Language in Malmö
Veldi ABSkåne län, Malmö
Previous experience is desired
Do you want to contribute to language development and education with real impact? Veldi in Malmö is looking for a teacher in Swedish as a second language.
Your responsibilities
Veldi conducts industrial training programs on behalf of municipalities, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and private companies across Sweden. For our operations in Malmö, we are now seeking a teacher with competence in Swedish as a second language (minimum 30 ECTS credits) who wishes to play a central role in strengthening students' language development, contributing to increased goal achievement, and further developing teaching where language and vocational knowledge are integrated in a conscious and pedagogically well-thought-out manner.
In this role, you will collaborate with both our own vocational teachers and Malmö City's teachers of Swedish as a second language within the combined education program. The assignment involves providing qualified language support to students within our regular course packages and creating good conditions for their linguistic, knowledge-based, and professional progression.
We would appreciate it if you have experience in adult education and are accustomed to providing language support that helps students reach their study goals. Since our industrial training programs are conducted in both theory classrooms and workshop environments, you must be able to provide language support in both theoretical and practical teaching situations.
We are looking for someone who works independently, structured, and with good judgment, while also valuing close collegial collaboration. You will become an important part of a committed work team where cooperation between teachers, pedagogical resources, administrators, and the operations manager is a prerequisite for high quality. Veldi is in a phase of intensive development, which gives you the opportunity to influence, contribute your expertise, and help shape the continued work of the organization.
Your profile
You have the ability to inspire and motivate students, meeting them with engagement, clarity, and high expectations. As a person, you are pedagogical, relationship-building, and confident in an inclusive approach where different backgrounds and conditions are seen as an asset. You work systematically with the planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching, and you use digital tools with security and pedagogical awareness. Since you will be working in a smaller team, it is also important that you contribute to a professional, generous, and development-oriented collegial culture.
