About the role and your responsibilities

In the role of special needs teacher with us, you will be involved in shaping the work in our adapted learning environment. You teach students who are in need of special support and work to promote their learning and development.

You will have the main responsibility for the special education group. Together with the rest of the staff in the teaching group, you will plan and teach the students in all theoretical subjects.

As a special needs teacher, you collaborate closely with your colleagues to create an inclusive and accessible learning environment. You will play a key role in mapping, following up, and analyzing the students' knowledge development.

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher and have a special needs teacher degree. It is merit-worthy if you have previous experience working as a special needs teacher and in special education groups.

You need to have strong drive and be able to work equally well independently as well as together with others. To succeed in the role of special needs teacher, we expect you as a person to be engaged, sensitive, and flexible, as well as having a good ability to collaborate. You can create lasting and good relationships with both students and guardians. We are looking for you who want to work on creating adapted and meaningful teaching for students who face challenges.

About the workplace

At Genarp School, we have approximately 300 students in grades 4-9. We care about creating good relationships with each other and with our students. In our current development work, we focus on security and study environment.
