Job Description
We are now looking for a Year 3 teacher for Höjaskolan!
You will be part of a team of teachers where you will jointly plan and be responsible for the students' education and development, as well as decide on any needs for subject integration or project studies in your classes. Your focus will be on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. You will teach students in Year 3, primarily in the subjects of Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language, and Social Studies, where you will educate and support the students in their social and academic development. You will challenge students to take initiative, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others.
Your role also includes being a mentor for one of the classes. As a mentor, you have specific responsibility for a group of students, giving you the opportunity to follow their academic development and personal maturity more closely. You will have very close collaboration with your colleague who is the mentor for the other class.
Qualifications
We are looking for a certified primary school teacher with qualifications for Years F-3, specializing in Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language, or Social Studies. It is an advantage if you are qualified in multiple subjects. You should have documented experience working with students at the group level in lower primary school. It is an advantage if you have previously administered the national tests in Year 3. You must communicate at a high level in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
At Höjaskolan, teamwork is important. We strive to utilize every employee's competence. We are looking for you who have the students in focus and are accustomed to adapting teaching based on the students' different needs.
You need to have a secure leadership style based on the belief that every student can succeed. You should also find it easy to collaborate with different professions to increase students' opportunities in school and for the future. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create study peace and a good learning environment for our students throughout their school day. You have a particular ability to improve students' academic results and a strong interest in developing teaching.
We welcome your application!
